Case
Studies
Here are a few examples on how we have used statistics and
data management to tackle some of the problems that some organisations
have faced:
- Case Study 1 - Data Management / Warehousing -
How we have helped a group of doctors to pool various databases together
to build a data mart in order to allow them to review a larger series
of data, and analyse the pooled data to produce more meaningful results
based on a larger sample.
- Case Study 2 - What Is Affecting Performance?
- A suite of statistical techniques was used to help an organisation
to gain a better insight into the vast amount of performance data they
have collected over a long period of time.
- Case Study 3 - Which Is Better? - An example
on how the same data will lead to different conclusions, depending on
the definition of the question and the analysis applied to answer the
question.
Over the past few years we have worked on a whole range of other projects.
Here are a few more examples to give you a flavour of the variety:
- Helping a company to build resourcing and costing models, to streamline
the process of working out the resource needs and costs in various operations
within the company.
- Reviewing the expert report and integrated summaries for the European
regulatory submission dossier for a healthcare company.
- Statistical consulting in the medical affairs / marketing (phase IIIb/IV)
department in two major multinational pharmaceutical companies, dealing
with a range of issues from trial designs and trial reporting for regulatory
submission purposes, to monitoring outsourcing and liaising/collaborating
with academic/research institutions.
- Bespoke SAS programming training for a group of clinical data managers
who had no/little experience in computer programming.
