Difficult to judge this café bar really as I only came here for one thing - the Red Ruby Beef Sandwich. The sandwich was a baguette with a filling of Red Ruby beef (Local to Exmoor, grass reared to natural maturity; marbled and hung for 4 weeks to develop real flavour and tenderness) with garlic and parsley butter, celeriac remoulade, and accompanied by mixed leaves and crispy shallots. The sandwich was created by chef Seth Ward, and it scooped the prize of best sandwich in the 2009 International Sandwich World Cup. The beef was tender and moist. The texture of the different ingredients, especially the rather moorish celeriac remoulade and crispy shallot, mixed in very well together. I would be quite happy to eat this regularly, if only my local sandwich shop would make this!
