| This ice-cream parlour, hidden somewhere between Bargello and Santa Croce, serves one of the best ice-creams in Europe. Some of the flavours have relatively strong alcohol content which suits me just fine! | |||||

| It's like dining in the cellar in this little Florentine restaurant (you have to walk down the steps to get to the dining area!), but the atmosphere is great and the food is fresh and delicious. Ribollita (a broth of beans, cabbage and vegetable) is served every Thursday-Saturday and, together with a generous bottle of Chianti, is a good way to start a nice meal. I had Osso Buco with fagioli beans as main course, but the highlight definitely goes to the house-special dessert, a sponge cake with cream and meringue. | |||||

| Another cafe worth checking out, especially in the mornings. Nothing beats a nice smooth cup of cappaccino first thing in the morning at this cafe! Also some yummy pastries can be bought here. | |||||
