| A good place to go in Prague if you are missing your dose of French pastries and snacks. This patisserie has an old 19-th century feel to it, thanks to the tiles and wrought-iron furniture. The mousse au chocolat and tarte au citron are both light and delicious, and the mousse a l'orange is also a good choice to go for. Avoid the croque monsieur - that does nto seem to live up to the standard the other cakes and snacks offer. | |||||

| This café has been around for over 100 years (it opened its door in 1902), and has the grandeur of an old Parisian café. Busy place, but the food is nice enough. The tiramisu is very moist and light; while the sacher torte is so rich that it's not for the faint-hearted. This place serves one of the best coffees in Prague. | |||||

| A bustling and welcoming little pub a la Bohemian style on a quiet street but central location in Prague, you don't just want to come here for the beer (which is nice enough). The food here is cheap and wholesome, serving typical Czech dishes such as the Bohemian platter (Staroceska panev) and beef in cream sauce with bread dumplings (svickova). If it's in season, don't miss out on their rabbit in cranberry sauce. | |||||

| Things don't come in small portions here. Large beer means a whole litre, and the meat dishes all have generous servings of meat on there. A mixed grill for 2 would consist of sirloin steak, entrecote, chicken liver, beef kidneys, chicken wings as well as a vegetable skewer just to give that slight hint of healthy balanced diet! A true heaven for meat lovers. | |||||

| One of Prague's old cafes and this one is famous, partly because of its connection with the literacy world in the first half of the 20th century. The décor is pleasant enough, but the food does not match up to the standard and the hype of the place. The cakes are tasteless, and that has nothing to do with the freshness. | |||||
