When the name Nan Xiang is mentioned, people would automatically associate it with the famous Shanghai steam dumplings (xiao long bao). There are 3 floors to this restaurant, and the price (and comfort) goes up as you head further up the stairs. There are various fillings to the dumplings - it doesn't really matter what you go for as they are all mouth-watering delicious and the dumplings have a generous serving of the soup base inside, but the best filling is definitely the crab roe filling. If you really struggle with time (and the queue), you can always try to get the takeaway from the ground floor, though part of the fun is the experience of sitting in the restaurant!
