Travel

One of my main hobbies is travel. I have been lucky enough to have done a fair amount of travelling in the past few years, either as pleasure or on business. Of course it would have been nice to do more (I am just as greedy as anyone else really)....

I have tried to keep a travel diary every time I embark on a long trip, and the last couple of trips have mainly been in China and South-East Asia:

1998 - Beijing and Guilin, China
2000 - Beijing, Three Gorges and East Coast of China
2003 - Silk Road - sections in China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan
2005 - Indochina - Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia
2005 - Roof of The World - Nepal and Tibet, China
2006 - Argentina, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica

The travel diaries were all written by hand, and I just need to type them all up (I don't think character recognition software will be able to read my handwriting).... These will gradually be added over the course of 2006.

What would be my top 10 most impressive places I have visited in this world? This is the list:

5. Qutong Gorge, Yangtze River, China

6. South Georgia
